An overhauled Pregnancy Insights feature and a new Perimenopause Check-In are rolling out
Smart ring leader Oura is making another significant push into specialized women’s health tracking, announcing a comprehensive overhaul of its ‘Pregnancy Insights’ feature and the launch of its first-ever dedicated tool for perimenopause.
The updates, the Finnish brand says, are designed to provide deeper, more contextual support for members navigating these specific life stages. So, what’s coming to the Oura Ring?
Trends analysis and gestational age arrive
The redesigned Pregnancy Insights, which begins rolling out today (12 August), transforms the feature into a more robust companion for expectant mothers.
By leveraging data from thousands of previous pregnancies, Oura says its app will now show users how their personal biometric trends—such as body temperature, resting heart rate, and HRV—compare to typical fluctuations during pregnancy.

The feature also includes weekly updates based on gestational age, 35 new pregnancy-specific symptom tags, and makes the core Readiness and Sleep scores ‘pregnancy-aware’. This should make those morning insights attached to scores more empathetic and relevant.
A first-of-its-kind feature
Launching tomorrow, August 13, is the new ‘Perimenopause Check-In’. This feature aims to make a historically under-addressed life stage more visible and actionable.
Users will be able to take a standardized 12-question survey (the Menopause Rating Scale) to quantify their symptoms and generate a downloadable PDF report to share with their doctor.

The feature also provides in-app integration with specialist care partners like Evernow and Maven, offering a direct pathway to expert guidance and treatment.
The Wareable take
Oura continues to bring meaningful refinements to its members, this time choosing to focus on cementing its place as the top wearable brand for women of all ages.
Much like with its stress tracking, Oura has redefined the women’s health tracking experience over the past five years by providing deep, contextual features for specific life stages. It’s one of the few brands that have advanced upon basic cycle tracking and delivered insights women can actually use, rather than log.
The question, as ever, now becomes how rivals (and not just those in the smart ring market) will react. Either way, it’s another reason not to overthink Oura’s subscription fee.
